Christopher Laughter is a Writer-Director whose films mix dark comedy and surreal drama to explore the absurdity of societal complexity while searching for levity in the muck of diverse human experiences. He crafts bold, emotionally resonant stories for film, television and branded content.

Christopher cut his teeth creating skateboard videos and music videos, and later helped redefine live event films in Los Angeles under the moniker The Video Mouse before expanding into branded documentaries and content creative direction for clients like Adidas Originals, Behr Paint, Microsoft, and Riot Games.

He then co-created a short filmmaking collective and accountability system under the moniker of Assorted Kinds to support and motivate under resourced filmmakers, producing 25 short films between 2016 and 2020. Through this collective, he wrote and directed four short films which found success at some the most coveted genre film festivals worldwide and helped to define his style for fictional narratives.
