10 Months, 10 Minutes | Worlds 2019 Opening Ceremony Presented by Mastercard - League of Legends

Our friends at Riot Games approached us with a need to capture behind the scenes footage of the remaining months of pre-production for the 9th annual, and most ambitious Worlds event to date. We sprung to action and spent three months shadowing the production teams as they slogged through the problem solving mud en route to a 13 minute long live streamed performance which utilized one of the largest uses of hologram technology ever. We “pressed the little red button” often, we hitched a ride to Paris, and we asked many questions along the way.

On the other side the big event, when the 14 terabytes of footage captured needed to be sorted through and deciphered into some semblance of a story, we took the bull by the horns and spent three months at Riot Games HQ in Santa Monica organizing, testing, molding, adjusting and finessing the story until we got it just right.
